The Herbfarm chef, Jerry Traunfeld visited Purple Haze and taught us how to make this fabulous sugar. The oils from our sweetest lavender are absorbed into the sugar as they whirl around in an herb mill. Substitute a tablespoon of this sugar in a shortbread or scone recipe. Because lavender can embrace a recipe subtly, or turn it into bitter perfume if over used, this sugar is the best way to start experimenting. Goes well with lemon, ginger, orange, berries and vanilla. 10 oz.
